My Little Old Boy's Lee Sang-min, who is 10 years younger than his wife, has put effort into in vitro fertilization for their plans to have a second child, but unfortunately, the first attempt failed.
In the episode of SBS' My Little Old Boy aired on the afternoon of the 6th, Lee Sang-min, who is enjoying a happy married life after a surprise wedding, and his wife, who has never been publicly revealed, were shown for the first time.
The couple is on their way to the clinic to hear the results. Lee Sang-min showed a sweet demeanor, asking, "Can we do it twice? Since it's hard on you, my dear." Before entering the hospital, Lee Sang-min said, "They said the first one would be difficult, so let's not be disappointed. Whether to do the second one or not, you decide."
To confirm the pregnancy results, the couple entered the hospital, holding hands tightly. The doctor revealed, "The ovarian age is measured at 40 years. There are people who succeed at this age, so I thought it would be worth trying."
The doctor mentioned that Lee Sang-min's sperm motility, upon re-testing, is at 40%, which is a significant improvement from the original 15%. Lee Sang-min explained, "I stopped drinking, quit smoking, and also reduced my anxiety medication by half."
The doctor also mentioned that there is a high possibility for twins. Lee Sang-min stated, "(My wife) doesn't seem to be physically struggling, but she said the emotional ups and downs are hard." His wife agreed, saying, "I feel like I'm becoming sensitive."
They decided to check the results through a blood test. If the number exceeds 50, a normal pregnancy is expected. The couple held hands with earnest hearts as they awaited the results. The doctor said, "The results are out, but the number is 0.2," delivering the unfortunate news that it was not a pregnancy.
