Kim Ji-woo confessed that she received couple counseling with her husband, Raymond Kim.
A segment featuring musical actress Kim Ji-woo aired on Channel A's 'Close Friends Documentary – Table for Four' (hereafter Table for Four) on the 7th.
Inviting Kim Hiera and AIKI, Kim Ji-woo mentioned that her husband had prepared the main dish of Mexican food in advance, saying, "Sometimes, I feel like I need to be cautious. After watching the show, my husband would say, 'Why did you do that?' I end up justifying, 'It's because this is comfortable for me.' I think I will need to let him try musical acting later on."
Kim Ji-woo mentioned her connection to Mexico, stating, "We went on our honeymoon to Mexico," and Park Kyung-rim added, "Raymond Kim has no sense of alienation with Mexico." In response, Kim Ji-woo humorously said, "As soon as we arrived, a local asked me for directions."
Kim Ji-woo remarked, "(Because of my chef husband) I was intimidated during our honeymoon, but now he says, 'Don't eat that.' Then he ends up making it himself." She continued, "What's more frustrating is that it's actually delicious. He accepts it quickly." Kim Ji-woo added, "When I see my daughter and my husband, they look like me and Dad. My husband treats my mom really well. After marrying a devoted son, my parents realize how precious he is. That's what I respect about my husband. It's the best."
Regarding the 'window dressing couple' suspicion, Kim Ji-woo explained, "We really tried hard to have a good relationship. We faced challenges right at the one-year mark of our marriage. We had difficulties after having a baby. It's impossible not to argue. We wisely overcame it. We have also received couple counseling."
Kim Ji-woo stated that a lot has changed through couple counseling. She said, "The person should be in the scariest position in the kitchen. Instead of saying, 'Shall we try together?' I started using a tone like, 'Well, let's think about this a bit.' It's a professional tone that comes naturally. For someone like me, when thinking, 'Why do we have to speak like this?' I took it sensitively. While arguing, I have yelled, 'I'm not the sous-chef!"
She continued, "At that time, I felt my pride was hurt. My husband really changed a lot for me. That's admirable. They say people can't be changed, but people can indeed change."
