Television personality Lee Sang-min, from 'My Little Old Boy', faced disappointment as his first in vitro fertilization procedure with his 10-year-younger wife ended in failure.
In the SBS program 'My Little Old Boy', which aired on the 6th, Lee Sang-min and his 10-year-younger wife, who have never been publicly revealed, were first shown enjoying their happy newlywed life after a surprise wedding.
The couple is on their way to find out the results of their in vitro fertilization. Lee Sang-min expressed concern for his wife, saying, "Can we do it twice? Since you're having a hard time," before entering the hospital. Before entering, he told her, "The first one is said to be difficult, so don't be disappointed. It's up to you to decide whether we do the second one or not."
To check the pregnancy results, the couple entered the hospital hand in hand. The attending doctor stated, "(The wife) has an ovarian age of 40. There are people who succeed at this age, so I thought it would be worth a try."
The specialist noted that Sang-min's sperm motility, which was re-examined, is now at 40%, significantly improved from the original 15%, which caught attention. Lee Sang-min explained, "I stopped drinking, quit smoking, and reduced my anxiety medication by half. "
The specialist mentioned that the chances of twins are high in in vitro fertilization, and Lee Sang-min remarked, "(My wife) doesn't seem to be struggling physically, but she says the emotional fluctuations are tough." His wife agreed, saying, "I feel like I'm becoming sensitive."
They decided to check the results through a blood test. If the level exceeds 50, normal pregnancy can be expected. The couple held hands tightly, waiting anxiously for the results. The attending doctor said, "The results are out, and the level is 0.2," conveying the unfortunate result indicating there is no pregnancy.
