My Little Old Boy's Lee Sang-min has started in vitro fertilization with his 10-year-younger wife for their family planning, revealing that he has made intense efforts, including quitting alcohol, cigarettes, and even the medication for his panic disorder.
On the 6th episode of SBS's My Little Old Boy, Lee Sang-min and his 10-year-younger wife, who have never been publicly shown before, were introduced as they enjoy a happy newlywed life after their surprise marriage.
Lee Sang-min and his wife have already undergone the first in vitro fertilization. Lee Sang-min told his wife, "Since the first one is difficult, don't be disappointed. It's up to you to decide whether to continue with the second one or not."
To check the pregnancy results, the couple entered the hospital, holding hands tightly. The doctor noted, "The ovarian age is 40 years old. There are those who succeed at this age, so I thought it was worth a try."
The specialist revealed that Sang-min's sperm motility was 40%, significantly improved from the original 15%, which drew attention. Lee Sang-min explained, "I quit drinking, smoking, and also stopped my panic disorder medication, but I've now reduced it by half."
The specialist mentioned that there is a high possibility of twins. Lee Sang-min stated, "[My wife] doesn't seem to be physically struggling, but she said the emotional fluctuations are difficult." His wife agreed, saying, "I think I'm becoming sensitive."
They decided to check the results through a blood test. If the level exceeds 50, normal pregnancy can be expected. The couple held hands tightly, waiting for the result with hopeful hearts. The attending physician informed them, "The results are out, and the level is 0.2," conveying the unfortunate news that it was not a pregnancy.
