Broadcaster Ahn Seon-young is moving to Canada, putting her career behind her.
On the afternoon of the 4th, a new video titled 'I, Ahn Seon-young, am leaving Korea now | Packing my carrier' was released on her YouTube channel 'This is Ahn Seon-young.'
On that day, Ahn Seon-young began the video between her luggage, stating, "I haven't officially announced this anywhere yet, but today I want to be the first to let you know in this space. There's a major announcement."
She stated, "I debuted in 2000, so I have been a broadcaster for 26 years. I founded Baros in 2018, so I have been an entrepreneur for 8 years, and I've also been a mother for 10 years. Among these three, my life has been most dominated by being Ahn Seon-young, the broadcaster. I've never taken a break in 26 years. In a way, I think I'm at the peak of my live broadcasting career."
Ahn Seon-young revealed, "In a situation where many of the things I've dreamed of are within reach, I've decided to boldly leave all my careers behind and move to Canada," shocking everyone. The reason Ahn Seon-young made the decision to go to Canada is because of her son.
She also mentioned, "Baro is a child who works as hard on sports as he does on his life. Fortunately, he has talent. Doesn't Canada have ice hockey? He passed the tryout for a youth hockey team that is difficult for local kids to join. They select 13 players, and he was among them."
In the process, there were some conflicts between Ahn Seon-young and her son. She explained, "I persuaded him for a very long time, about a year. He could play hockey in Korea, but I persuaded him that if I leave Korea, I might not be able to broadcast again. Baro showed his determination, saying, 'This is my dream. If you can't go with me, I can go to a boarding house.' So, I've decided to quit my job."
Meanwhile, Ahn Seon-young married a businessman who is three years younger than her in 2013 and has a son. As a first-generation celebrity show host, Ahn Seon-young drew attention by stating through broadcasting, "I am the woman who sold the most cosmetics in Korea. I am the woman who sold more than 1 trillion won in cosmetics," revealing a cumulative sales amount of 1 trillion won in home shopping.
