Hwang Hye-young, a former member of the group Tutu and currently an entrepreneur, directly addressed the rumors surrounding her 'shopping mall closure.' He stated that some provocative reports are "not true" and clarified that he is merely slowing down to focus on personal matters and parenting.
Recently, Hwang Hye-young mentioned on her Instagram, "It seems like there are too many articles related to my shopping mall appearing on my YouTube," adding, "As those who have been with me for a long time know, I have mentioned wanting to take a break from the shopping mall for various reasons starting this year, and this was exaggerated to become sensationalized headlines."
Hwang Hye-young explained, "I am receiving too many calls and messages," stating, "As I mentioned before, I want to focus more on my children who are growing daily, and I am currently reducing my work within the shopping mall due to personal circumstances." He emphasized, "It is not a sudden shutdown closure."
He made it clear that he is still consistently opening selected products and that he is only adjusting operations for the time being, not making a complete halt. Hwang Hye-young stated, "I am more suited to business than being a celebrity. In the future, I will challenge myself with new and fun things that fit my situation," adding, "I am too young to retire. You don't have to worry."
Earlier, news that Hwang Hye-young would be organizing her shopping mall, which has an annual revenue of about 10 billion won, attracted attention. At the time, he stated on his YouTube channel, "I no longer have the passion to devote myself as I did before. As the children grow up, I felt a lack as a working mom and wanted to focus more on them," and added, "I have been physically exhausted. I think I have pushed myself too hard. Now, I want to try to take some time for myself."
