The group The Boyz is starting its fourth world tour, 'THE BLAZE,' without member Joo Haknyeon. Recently, Joo Haknyeon received a non-prosecution decision related to allegations of prostitution, but the tour is set to proceed as scheduled without his return to the group.
On June 26, the agency One Hundred said, 'The Boyz will hold 'THE BOYZ - THE BLAZE - WORLD TOUR in SEOUL' at the Seoul KSPO Dome from August 8 to 10 and will officially kick off the world tour.'
'THE BLAZE' is The Boyz's fourth world tour, themed around seeking freedom and escaping the weight of reality experienced by contemporary youth, characterized by intense energy and challenges. The Boyz will showcase a more immersive stage by presenting their growth narrative and new transformations.
The teaser poster released together features an image of energy expressed in red bursting through a square frame. This raises fans' expectations, as it indicates that the team is once again poised to break through limits during this performance.
However, this tour will proceed without Joo Haknyeon. Previously, Joo Haknyeon was embroiled in controversy when it was reported by Shūkan Bunshun that he had been seen with AV actress and influencer Asuka Kirara at a private drinking party in Tokyo, Japan. The agency stated, 'It is difficult to maintain trust as an artist,' announcing his departure from the team and contract termination. Joo Haknyeon responded by claiming coercion of contract termination and the intent to pursue legal action for damages amounting to 2 billion won.
Subsequently, on July 2, the Gangnam Police Station issued a 'non-prosecution decision' regarding Joo Haknyeon, who had been accused of violating laws related to prostitution. The police concluded that 'the allegation based on internet articles lacks specific reasons or circumstances to initiate an investigation.'
Although some suspicions have been alleviated, Joo Haknyeon is currently acting separately from The Boyz and this tour will also proceed with a 10-member system.
Meanwhile, The Boyz is set to meet global fans in a total of nine regions, starting in Seoul, followed by Nagoya, Yokohama, Kobe, Tokyo, Macau, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, and Bangkok, with additional tour locations still being coordinated. Tour tickets were pre-sold on YES24 last July 2 at 8 p.m., and general ticket sales will take place today, July 4, at 7 p.m.
