The K-POP world-scale debut project Mnet 'BOYS II PLANET' (directed by Kim Shin-young, Jung Woo-young, and Ko Jeong-gyeong) will air for the first time on July 17 and 18, with interest in the participants higher than ever as expert masters directly shared their insights about the 160 participants.
Participating as expert masters who encompass both 'BOYS 2 PLANET K' and 'BOYS 2 PLANET C,' Lim Han-byeol, Hyorin, Back Kooyoung, and Justhis recalled their first meeting with the 160 participants and shared their candid impressions.
Lim Han-byeol, who has participated in all seasons of the Planet series and proudly refers to himself as the 'master of long-time fans,' said, "I was pleasantly surprised this time, as the overall skill level has been elevated." He added, "I want to help this journey remain a precious page in the lives of the participants, not just for them to become singers, and I will fully support them to gain confidence on stage and create unforgettable memories together."
Hyorin, who joined this season, stated, "While I was impressed by the talented friends, I was moved by the many participants who showed sincerity and courage on stage," adding, "It is important how participants prepare for and approach 'BOYS 2 PLANET' and the stage. I want to primarily guide them in pronunciation and ways to express songs, and I will actively support them to shine on stage."
Back Kooyoung expressed surprise, saying, "Many friends showed a professional demeanor." He noted, "While some friends grew rapidly in a short period, there are also 'hidden gems' who show completely different sides on stage. Watching their changes and growth will be fun."
Justhis revealed, "The authenticity and hard work of the participants made me reflect on myself." In particular, he remarked, "Such competitions are not areas with fixed answers, so intuition and feeling are important. There are friends who possess a sincere attitude and diligence. If we look after their stories behind the stage together, it will provide a profound impact."
Meanwhile, 'BOYS 2 PLANET' is set to premiere on July 17 (Thursday) at 9:20 p.m. for 'BOYS 2 PLANET K' and on July 18 (Friday) at 9:20 p.m. for 'BOYS 2 PLANET C.' The world-scale K-POP debut journey created in collaboration with the global fandom 'Star Creator' will officially begin.
