Super Junior's Shindong and Kyuhyun celebrated their 20th debut anniversary on 'Problem Child in House.'
In the KBS2TV variety show 'Problem Child in House' that aired on the 3rd, Super Junior's Shindong and Kyuhyun appeared. Though Super Junior is known for their image of bickering and reconciling together, it was surprising to learn that there is a slight awkwardness between them. Kyuhyun noted, 'I feel awkward with Shindong. I'm not actually awkward, but I think my older brother feels awkward.' Shindong responded, 'Kyuhyun is great at playing pranks. He always plays pranks on the members and gets hit. But I don't tease him. That's why it feels awkward.' He added, 'I can feel that he is being careful around me.'
Despite wanting to get closer, Shindong called Kyuhyun, but they found that their personalities didn't match. Shindong said, 'I invited Kyuhyun to my house. I really summoned my courage to invite him, but he left after 30 minutes.'
Kyuhyun stated, 'When I went after the doorbell rang, there were 30 pairs of shoes. There were managers, other celebrities, models; it was almost a party. But everyone was sitting too close together, and I don't like crowded places.' Shindong explained, 'I wanted to invite the people I like and cook for them. So I invited 30 people.'
Kyuhyun mentioned, 'Shindong likes drinking gatherings, and I just like drinking.' In response, Shindong said, 'Kyuhyun is the type who keeps everything without throwing it away. I throw everything away. I prefer to have nothing. When I buy new clothes, I throw away an old one. I don't like having things.'
However, they found common ground in their affection for Super Junior and their objective views. Hong Jin Kyung asked, 'Is Choi Siwon still with you?' and added, 'I actually thought Choi Siwon could do politics.'
Kyuhyun jokingly responded, 'I think Choi Siwon has both a badge and such.' He added, 'Choi Siwon said he would bring several hundred billion won in investment during our re-contracting season.' Shindong laughed while saying, 'He said he would bring 20 billion won, but there's been no communication since then.'
They mentioned the idol jinx of seven years. Joo Woo-jae asked, 'Did you think it would last this long?' Kyuhyun replied matter-of-factly, 'I just lived each year looking at that year.' Shindong noted, 'The beginning was not even as a formal group. People gathered together as 'Super Junior 05' with plans to do variety shows, singing, and acting. I really didn't have any big ambitions; I was just dancing.'
Nonetheless, they contemplated the ability to remain together. For instance, they recalled the traffic accident that Super Junior experienced, which led to their maturity and strengthened relationships, stating that they could only become closer. Additionally, Shindong remarked, 'The members seem smart. The members also know that if we split, the fans would split as well.' Kyuhyun added, 'We've been together for a long time, we have accumulated several hundred songs, and fans have loved us for a long time. They know this.'
