As school violence allegations against Koyote's Shin Ji's fiancé, Moon Won, emerged, the clarifications from his classmates revealed that even this was not true.
On the 3rd, A, Moon Won's elementary and middle school classmate, and B, his high school classmate, told OSEN over the currency that he is not a friend who would commit school violence.
Earlier, on the 2nd, Shin Ji arranged an introduction between her fiancé Moon Won and the male members of Koyote, during which Moon Won confessed that he had been married before and has a daughter.
However, netizens had a completely different reaction. They pointed out Moon Won's attitude, which sparked a public opposition to the marriage.
In particular, one netizen commented, "I was a classmate from middle and high school. Choose your middle and high school carefully. I know a lot, but I will hold back from saying anything to avoid legal issues," suggesting that it sounded as if Moon Won committed acts of school violence or was a bully.
However, the classmates' accounts were different. First, A stated that he was an elementary and middle school classmate of Moon Won and an old neighborhood friend, telling OSEN, "People around us mentioned this rumor, but there are a lot of unfounded stories. He is not the so-called 'bully.'"
A added, "To be blunt, it seems he's being labeled as a total delinquent, but if you ask what kind of friend he is, we all gossip about some people we know. Then, he is the type to say, 'Don't say that,' or 'He's not that bad.' So to say he hit someone at school? To be honest, I have called his parents when Moon Won was the one being hit. He is not the type to hit anyone. The middle school teacher would probably remember this too."
A, who mentioned that he is still close to Moon Won, emphasized, "He is a friend everyone likes. He knows a lot of people. If a person had a bad personality, they wouldn't have any friends around them. He is not that kind of person. He is sociable and charming."
He expressed his frustration, saying, "However, from what I hear, people talk about him as if he is a total monster. Isn't this too much, trying to destroy someone?" He asserted, "I am a father of two kids. But I can say this for my children. Moon Won is not a bad friend."
B, a high school classmate, also remembered Moon Won as a 'kind friend.' When asked directly if Moon Won was a bully in high school, he laughed and replied, "Him? He is not that sort of person," adding, "If he was bullied, then so be it, but he is not the type to go around hitting people."
Additionally, B stated, "I don't know what sin he has committed for all this uproar. Though I can't say for sure, in front of me, he never hit anyone. He's not that kind of kid. He is kind to his friends, and if someone hits, he would be the type to intervene. He doesn't have the strength to hit anyone. There are different kinds of bullies."
Amidst various allegations including school violence, B said, "I don't know what crime he committed to be criticized to this extent, almost like he's a great sinner. He is not that sort of person, and I believe the truth will come to light. I hope they don't lose their minds."
Meanwhile, Moon Won issued a statement regarding the allegations against him on the 3rd, saying, "I am sorry to hear that I may have caused hurt and damage to everyone who has sent their congratulations and support, especially to Shin Ji, who should be receiving congratulations. As someone who must walk alongside Shin Ji, I feel deeply sorry and embarrassed for the misunderstandings my inadequate words and actions have raised among fans."
Moon Won clarified all allegations, including military violence and dual relationship accusations, emphasizing, "The claims that I bullied friends or juniors during school and military service are completely false, and if necessary, I am willing to secure objective evidence to prove this and make it public."
