The person who first raised allegations of school violence against actress Song Ha-yoon, referred to as A, has been revealed to be in a wanted status for notification.
According to an OSEN report on the 4th, the police stated that the person who first raised allegations of school violence against Song Ha-yoon is currently in a wanted status for notification. Additionally, it has been confirmed that Song Ha-yoon's side is in the process of filing an additional lawsuit against the accuser, who reiterated previously denied allegations of school violence.
Song Ha-yoon received critical acclaim for her role as the villain Jeong Soo-min in the tvN drama "Marry My Husband" (abbreviated as "MNH"), which ended in February of last year. However, shortly after the conclusion of "MNH," A, who claimed to be a high school classmate, alleged school violence during Song Ha-yoon's school days, sparking controversy. Song Ha-yoon asserted through her agency at the time, "I have never met the informant. All of the claims are false." However, she was unable to overturn the critical sentiment, and after the expiration of her contract with her former agency, Iwoo, she effectively suspended her activities in the entertainment industry.
Amid this, on the 2nd, nearly a year after the incident, Song Ha-yoon's law firm, Ji-eum, stated that the allegations of her past school violence are false and that A is being sued for defamation based on false information, but A is currently living in the United States and is not cooperating with the investigation. They also mentioned that Song Ha-yoon is preparing for her return while contemplating her situation.
Nevertheless, A expressed their innocence in an interview with a domestic media outlet on the 3rd and once again repeated the allegations of school violence against Song Ha-yoon. This prompted Song Ha-yoon's side to proceed with an additional lawsuit.
In relation to this, a representative from Ji-eum, the law firm representing Song Ha-yoon, emphasized to OSEN that "the original distributor A is currently in the United States. However, on the 2nd, they once again spread false information through social media and media interviews." They added, "The investigating officer contacted A on the 3rd, and a wanted notification was issued. Upon entering the country, A must appear voluntarily to the police, and should they refuse to cooperate with the investigation after entering, a warrant for arrest may be issued."
Additionally, Song Ha-yoon's side expressed "deep regret over the behavior of evading investigation simply because they are in the United States and continuously spreading false information" and stated, "We will proceed with additional criminal complaints regarding the related social media statements and media interview content."
