Actor Lee Jeong-jin from 'Recent Men's Life: Groom Class' showcased his tall appearance along with his clumsy demeanor.
In the episode aired on the 2nd, Channel A's variety show 'Recent Men's Life: Groom Class' featured singer Cheon Myung-hoon's long-time female friend, a Chinese national and CEO of a dermatology clinic, So-wool, on a date at Nami Island, and introduced his Japanese conversation teacher, former announcer Tada Asako.
Cheon Myung-hoon's hobby was fishing. He asked So-wool what she usually did with her ex-boyfriend, which earned him some disapproval. Given that he is not of a young age, it was not a question Cheon Myung-hoon, born in 1978, should be asking. Even Lee Jeong-jin, who simply wants to get married, scoffed at the question.
So-wool expressed her aversion to fishing, saying, "I don't really like it. I can't go. I'm just letting you know in advance. If you suddenly take me, I might get angry. Like on a boat or something." Cheon Myung-hoon responded, "It's not a boat; it's a reservoir," which only heightened her fear. Moon Se-yoon warned, "That's really not the case."
Cheon Myung-hoon said, "I won't fish. I will sell all my equipment at home," and when asked by Lee Seung-chul if he could give it up for marriage, Cheon Myung-hoon replied, "I won't do anything. If that person wants it." Lee Jeong-jin then said, "I won't even start at all," refraining from mentioning that he would give up his hobby. Shim Jin-hwa questioned, "Do you often go to clubs?" adding a condition, but Lee Jeong-jin, who desires a tall woman with her own career, immediately rejected, saying, "That's a no-go right from the start."
That day, Lee Jeong-jin was introduced to his Japanese conversation teacher. The introducer was Jung Joon. Lee Jeong-jin noted, "I go to Japan often, so it gets complicated. I have work in Japan, and I will be an ambassador for the Disabled Judo Association this fall. A competition will take place in Japan in November, so I have to go there. I need Japanese conversation skills," explaining that he has personal visits to Japan but also has professional matters that require interaction.
Jung Joon remarked, "Okay, then learn Japanese and do well with the others," leaving a peculiar comment. The woman who appeared looked at least twenty years younger than Lee Jeong-jin and led the conversation fluently in Japanese, while Lee Jeong-jin astonishingly answered fluently in Korean.
Lee Jeong-jin stated, "I honestly didn't expect my Japanese teacher to be a woman," but everyone teased him about it. Lee Seung-chul commented, "Isn't that how Song Joong-ki met his current wife, whom he actually met as an English teacher?" However, Lee Jeong-jin simply said, "I go to Japan so often that even if I can't speak or write well, I can understand everything I hear," only discussing his conversation skills.
He was somewhat cold. Lee Jeong-jin said, "At first, she was really nice and would drive me all the way to Daejeon. I have a friend like that. But I am the opposite. I won't do anything at first. However, later on, I'll even go to Daejeon to pick her up," strongly expressing his personal views on dating, which left everyone shaking their heads.
