"A failed business, but after the name change, things went well... It's been 15 years since my legal name change"
Comedian Paeng Hyun-sook from 'Housing Rescue! Homes' revealed the story behind her name change from 'Paeng Soo-hee' and her changed life since then.
On the 3rd, Paeng Hyun-sook, who appeared on MBC's entertainment program 'Housing Rescue! Homes', caught attention by honestly revealing her name change and her current situation.
On that day, when Park Na-rae asked, "I searched, and other names came up besides Paeng Hyun-sook," Paeng Hyun-sook cautiously opened up. He said, "I got married at 24 and failed in business over 10 times," adding, **"It was the restaurant that failed, not the marriage"** which drew laughter. He recalled a difficult period by saying, "My husband Choi Yang-rak would say, 'Don't trust me.'"
One day, a friend advised Paeng Hyun-sook to change her name. He said, "I changed it to 'Paeng Soo-hee' to mean that I hope for many joyful things without others knowing," adding, "It's been about 15 years since my legal name change, but I've been using my new name for over 20 years."
After the name change, amazing changes followed. Paeng Hyun-sook confessed, "After the name change, work really started to improve," adding, **"The business that was only failing started to stabilize little by little."** However, he noted, "When I am introduced as Paeng Soo-hee on broadcasts, people don't know who that is, so I revert back to using Paeng Hyun-sook."
Currently, Paeng Hyun-sook is also a graduate student in a doctoral program. He proudly mentioned, "I graduated with my master's last year, and I received A+ in all subjects," and revealed that he is studying business with a focus on economics, society, and culture.
