On that day, Director James Gunn shared his reasons for choosing 'Superman', noting, "There are both complex and simple reasons. The simple reason is, before I came to DC, what's important is that Superman is the origin of heroes. When I envisioned this character, I thought it would be very interesting and a good hero to start with. And I really love Superman," he said with a smile.
When asked if he was inspired by other works, he responded, "In fact, there are many films. There are many elements I want to show in the movie. Especially, there are many things I want to showcase in theaters. I wanted to create a universe. So I wanted to make a film where people could watch Superman together in theaters. I utilized a lot of technical aspects and made efforts to let people feel the emotional threads."
