Today (the 3rd), MBC's 'Save Me! Homes' (directed by Jeong Da-hee, Kim Moon-seop, So In-ji, Kim Wan-cheol, Heo Ja-yoon / hereafter 'Homes') will feature comedian Paeng Hyun-sook visiting a house that helps with slow aging.
This day's broadcast will focus on 'slow aging,' which has emerged as a life trend in 2025, and will embark on a healthy visit. This visit to find properties that can delay aging will feature 1965-born Paeng Hyun-sook, 1975-born Kim Sook, and 1985-born Yang Se-hyung forming the '5-line visiting team' heading to Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province.
The three people dressed as the '5-line visiting team' head towards Sanhwa-ri, Yangpyeong. Yangpyeong expert Paeng Hyun-sook introduces, 'Sanhwa-ri is the mecca of country houses. Both Yangpyeong Station and a mart are within a 10-minute drive, and the access road is spacious and nice.'
The property introduced by the three people is a newly built country house completed in 2022, featuring a red brick exterior that highlights bonsai trees instead of high walls. Upon discovering a spacious lawn and beautiful flowers and trees, Yang Se-hyung exclaims, 'This is totally my style,' and keenly inspects every corner of the house, which stimulates curiosity about the ambiance.
The interior also allows enjoyment of the front yard through large glass windows, and the high ceiling adds to the openness. Most notably, the minimalistic interior reminiscent of a model house surprises everyone. In the studio, Paeng Hyun-sook confesses that after finishing the shoot, she went home and threw away 30% of her belongings, stating that getting rid of things is virtuous. She then humorously adds that as she keeps throwing things away, Choi Yang-lak said, 'Mom, please don't throw me away, too!'
Finding beds in the 1st and 2nd-floor rooms, Paeng Hyun-sook remarks, 'It seems this house also has separate rooms. In our house, we kiss every day but still have separate rooms. We've been sleeping apart for 36 years since we were newlyweds,' cautiously revealing the reason and catching eyes.
When Kim Sook asks if she recommends separate rooms for couples, Paeng Hyun-sook says that not getting married is the secret to slow aging and that Kim Sook will probably live up to 100 years, expressing her envy. Even then, when asked if she would choose to marry Choi Yang-lak again if she could go back 38 years, she states she would choose marriage, praising her husband for having many good qualities that make up for his shortcomings.
The '5-line visiting team' then introduces the youngest house in a self-sufficient longevity village. This charming house features a traditional Korean building and a large yard, from which they reveal that self-sufficiency is possible except for meat and fish. Upon discovering a chicken coop inside the barn, Paeng Hyun-sook assigns Yang Se-hyung the mission to fetch eggs. It remains to be seen if the timid Yang Se-hyung from the entertainment industry successfully completes the mission.
The healthy visit that helps with slow aging will be revealed tonight at 10 p.m. on MBC's 'Save Me! Homes.'
