After School member actor Yui shared her body management secrets.
On the 27th, a video titled "The unique management secrets of 'Iron Girl' Yui! (Diet, exercise, mental management)" was uploaded on the channel 'With Sean.'
That day, Yui went for a 10km run with Sean. After finishing the run, Yui had a talk time, and when asked about body management and dietary methods, she said, "I thought I was a person who eats a lot. There was a time when I dealt with stress through eating when I was active, so I have a habit of putting my spoon down when I feel full. If that is indeed management, then it seems like management. Doesn't everyone have their appropriate caloric intake? If you keep that well and eat and exercise, that's the way to maintain your figure."
She explained, "It seems that if you don't exercise, you tend to eat more. I think the way to lose weight is through diet, but if you are in a maintenance state, knowing exactly when to start and end seems to work quite well for me." She also noted, "I get tempted, too. Isn't it common to get tempted by videos like 'Lose 5kg in 2 weeks' on YouTube? But, as you know, if you lose 5kg in 2 weeks, you're likely to gain back 6kg. If you usually eat pizza, chicken, and mala soup, during the weight loss period, if you exercise but change your diet to eat chicken breast or increase your water intake for a healthier and cleaner diet, you can lose about 1 to 2kg of water weight."
Emphasizing the need to keep exercising, Yui said, "These are things that should be done regularly." She lamented, "I know that alcohol is the main culprit of my belly fat." In response, Sean said, "You should make a lot of running appointments. Because you have to run the next day, you start cutting back little by little. Then later, if running becomes more fun, you'll start to distance yourself from alcohol," and Yui jokingly responded, "I shouldn't be taking your calls, then."
Regarding exercise methods, she said, "Basically, whether you run or do personal training, it should be more than 30 minutes. You must not take long breaks. I actually don't drink much water when I exercise. I tend to accumulate a lot of lactic acid. So I try to force myself to drink more. It's important to find an exercise that suits you and keep doing it consistently for a long time. There's no exercise that you can finish in a short time, whether it's dancing, running, or personal training. Before I became part of 'Iron Girls,' I had a treadmill and used it to do 4,000 steps in a stair format. I continued that for over a year. Once you start exercising, it's important to consistently work out for more than 30 minutes, and that doesn't change."
Sean said, "In fact, fat starts to burn after 30 minutes of cardio exercise," and Yui added, "You should include a 5-minute warm-up within that 30 minutes. That's not enough. From stretching to cooldown, it should take at least an hour. It's the universal rule." She also mentioned that she did not skip exercising even the day after drinking.
Sean emphasized, "It's important. Usually, we start making excuses, don't we? Today, we'll skip because of this or that. That's where we begin to break down. Our bodies adapt to thinking, 'Oh, if it's hard, it's okay to take a day off.'" Yui said, "Although I said I stopped exercising after the triathlon, I continued to exercise, whether it was Pilates or using the treadmill at home," to which Sean replied, "That's why you are able to maintain it like this now."
