The 11th Seoul International Web Fest will be held from September 2 to 3 at the Arirang Cine Center in Seongbuk-gu.
On the 3rd, Shin Jun-young, the executive director of the Seoul International Web Fest, noted, "Currently, more than 900 overseas entries and over 100 domestic entries have been received, with a total of more than 1,000 entries submitted." The submission period will continue until July 5, and award-winning works will be individually announced in early August.
The evaluation criteria are the same as last year. For web drama, only works with three or more completed episodes will be considered, and each episode must not exceed 20 minutes. Short films and web movies can be submitted as Shorts or Pilot in the institutional sector, regardless of the number of episodes. Additionally, participation is possible regardless of whether the work is released through video platforms like YouTube or Naver. However, works that have already been submitted to previous Seoul Web Fests will be excluded.
Works selected through the competition leading up to the finals will be given opportunities to enter international web series film festivals. The judging panel consists of various members active in the film and drama industries, such as directors, producers, journalists, and journalists from both domestic and international backgrounds.
Shin Jun-young noted, "This year, works have been received from more than 70 countries. The number of submitted works has significantly increased compared to the last event, and the quality of the composition and direction has improved remarkably, making it very difficult to judge."
He also conveyed his ambition, stating, "As we celebrate the 11th edition, we want to make the Seoul International Web Fest more enriching and allow audiences to engage closely with video content from around the world," adding, "I want to make it an event where many citizens of Seoul, as well as people from other regions, come to visit."
