Lee Eun-ji conveyed the highlights of "Better Late Than Single."
On the 3rd, a production presentation for the Netflix reality show "Better Late Than Single" was held at CGV in Yongsan, Seoul. The event was attended by producers Jo Wook-hyung, Kim No-eun, Won Seung-jae, and stars Seo In-guk, Kang Han-na, Lee Eun-ji, and Car The Garden.
Scheduled for global release on July 8, "Better Late Than Single" is a makeover dating reality program aimed at helping inexperienced singletons with their first love. Though they may be clumsy and inexperienced in love, these singletons are sincerely dedicated, providing a delightful mix of a sitcom-like chaotic experience and a heartwarming romance.
On that day, Lee Eun-ji said, "I really thought it was a parent-teacher conference. In the recording studio, I remember shouting at Car The Garden, 'What did you teach the kids?'" hinting at her role as a matchmaker.
She continued, "While doing so, I also helped them cover up their mistakes. It felt a bit like parenting, like a younger sibling. It was delightful and fun. While observing the participants, I noticed they occasionally mentioned the matchmaker, which made me feel very touched and grateful."
In addition, she remarked, "This program involves living together. Because they spend a long time together, I think I tried to teach them to approach slowly. Normally, I would have given tips for a quick pace, but instead, I provided tips from a long-term perspective. I told the more introverted participants to take care of themselves. Ultimately, they need their own energy and a good mindset to be able to love. I believe one needs to love themselves first to love others, so I gave such advice to friends who felt anxious."
Furthermore, Lee Eun-ji remarked, "I prefer something spicy like 'Too Hot' or 'Love Island', but I thought the dating of singletons might be a bit bland. However, it turns out to be spicy. The spicy aspect comes out around episodes 5 to 6. It's rich in flavor. Also, concerning the future of the participants, there's an honesty that makes me wonder how they will be received after the broadcast. I wonder if our participants will be okay."
