Kkokkomu will exclusively air the actual confession video of serial killer Kang Ho-soon for the first time in broadcasting history.
The 182nd episode of 'Story of the Day When You Bite Your Tail' (directed by Lee Keun-byeol, Lee Dong-won, and Ko Hye-rin, hereinafter 'Kkokkomu') will be part of the special series 'The Real: 3-part Series,' showcasing the second story 'The Pickaxe of Serial Killer Kang Ho-soon,' following the case of the murder of Army master sergeant Yeom Soon-deok. The episode will feature profiler Kwon Il-yong as the storyteller, with Jang Hyun-seong as a listener, and broadcasters Jang Ye-won and baseball legend Kim Tae-kyun joining as listeners to share the pain and shock of that day. Currently, 'Kkokkomu' ranks first among all Thursday programs in entertainment, educational content, and drama based on viewership ratings for the 2049 age group.
In this episode of 'Kkokkomu,' the actual confession video of Korea's last serial killer, Kang Ho-soon, will be aired along with the astounding fact that he murdered two additional women.
The victims of the last serial killer in Korea, Kang Ho-soon, number as many as 10 women. All were killed in a similar pattern, having boarded Kang Ho-soon's vehicle at a bus stop, and their cell phone batteries were found separated shortly after their disappearance. Kang Ho-soon deceived the women into getting into his car, then raped and murdered them. Profiler Kwon Il-yong, who directly faced Kang Ho-soon at the time of the incidents, noted, "I thought it had been a long time, but it is not easy," shedding sudden tears.
Kang Ho-soon confessed during the prosecution investigation that he hid a fact about one victim. There is keen interest as 'Kkokkomu' is set to release the actual confession video of the murderer. In the video, Kang Ho-soon nonchalantly reveals, "There is something I hid. I killed one more person," shocking everyone with that day's story. Jang Ye-won, who was watching, could not help but say, "I got chills from my legs." Kwon Il-yong expressed anger, stating, "Watching this guy confess after retirement fills me with rage. He is acting now," and added, "That is a mask that psychopaths put on and take off instantly."
'Kkokkomu' raises questions about the bloody pickaxe buried in Kang Ho-soon's speech. The pickaxe contained DNA from two women, which did not match any of the known victims of Kang Ho-soon.
