Comedian Lee Sugeun's wife, Park Jiyeon, will undergo her second kidney transplant surgery. After experiencing kidney issues due to pregnancy toxemia 14 years ago, she plans to receive a kidney donation from her biological brother for the procedure.
According to OSEN's report on the 2nd, Park Jiyeon has completed the final tests for the transplant and is currently coordinating her surgery schedule. The donor is Park Jiyeon's biological brother, and medical professionals explain that family donations generally have a higher success rate due to a lower risk of immune rejection compared to non-related donations.
Park Jiyeon married Lee Sugeun in 2008 and has two sons. In the past, Lee Sugeun revealed, "She was already a popular figure pursued by four comedians. I followed her around for six months," which garnered attention.
