The film 'Exit' starring director Lee Sang-geun and actress Lim Yoon-a will make a joint comeback with 'Pretty Crazy.'
The movie 'Pretty Crazy' (directed by Lee Sang-geun, provided/distributed by CJ ENM, produced by Ouyun Naekang), which will be released in August, is a comedy about a young unemployed man, Gil-gu (Ahn Bo-hyun), who takes on an unusual part-time job monitoring 'Seon-ji' (Lim Yoon-a), who wakes up as a demon every dawn.
After attracting 9.42 million viewers with his debut film 'Exit' in 2019, which created a hot box office sensation in the summer theater scene of Korea, director Lee Sang-geun returns this summer with 'Pretty Crazy.' The film 'Pretty Crazy' has been eagerly anticipated because it brings together Lim Yoon-a, who was a key contributor to the success of 'Exit,' and director Lee Sang-geun once again. Additionally, the film is produced by Ouyun Naekang, a production company known for creating box office hits every summer, further enhancing its credibility after their release last year of 'Veteran 2.'
Director Lee Sang-geun noted, "During the pre-production stage, I did a lot of research with actress Lim Yoon-a on how to bridge the gap between 'Seon-ji' and the demon, and how to create the tone of her voice and performance." He praised Lim Yoon-a's passion for actively engaging in character analysis. He also shared, "I referenced the performances of existing actors and created my own while going through a lot of practice and research. It seems that as a result, we were able to birth the current character of 'Seon-ji' and the demon." He expressed his deep affection for 'Pretty Crazy.'
Lim Yoon-a described director Lee Sang-geun as "a special and human director whom I want to express as more 'Lee Sang-geun-like,' just like during 'Exit,'" emphasizing the unique style of the film that breathes life.
