Lee Jong-suk, Moon Ga-young, Kang Yu-seok, Ryu Hye-young, and Lim Sung-jae boast exceptional teamwork that will dominate the Seocho-dong legal town.
The new tvN weekend drama 'Seocho-dong', which will premiere on the 5th (Sat) (written by Lee Seung-hyun, directed by Park Seung-woo, planned by CJ ENM Studios, produced by Chorokbaem Media), is a drama that portrays the growth of the five associate attorneys who commute to the Seocho-dong legal town every day.
The popular actors Lee Jong-suk (as Ahn Joo-hyung), Moon Ga-young (as Kang Hee-ji), Kang Yu-seok (as Jo Chang-won), Ryu Hye-young (as Bae Moon-jung), and Lim Sung-jae (as Ha Sang-ki) are all set to appear, raising expectations. Meanwhile, the actors who will express the close friendship among the five associate attorneys discuss their acting chemistry, drawing attention.
First, Lee Jong-suk noted, 'Seocho-dong' is a work that allowed me to appreciate the gratitude of working together. He added, 'During filming, I also thought that the strength of our drama was the actors. It was a filming set where we could talk about characters, emotional lines, and scenes, and learn a lot by asking questions about things we didn't know.'
Next, Moon Ga-young expressed pride by saying, 'Even during breaks, we constantly practiced the tempo of scenes and lines, so in the end, we came to understand one another without even needing to speak.' In particular, she shared her affection for the actors, saying, 'Just as my character Hee-ji meets reliable friends in Seocho-dong, I am particularly happy and at ease to have lovely older siblings through 'Seocho-dong.'
Kang Yu-seok also mentioned, 'At the beginning of filming, it was a bit awkward, but once we became friends, we exchanged a lot of ad-libs and spent time together during breaks discussing the script. Not only did we talk about the project, but we also shared various concerns both in acting and personally, and since they gave me many diverse pieces of advice as life mentors, the chemistry couldn't help but be great.'
Recognizing the importance of their interactions, Ryu Hye-young revealed that she put in a lot of effort to get close during the early stages of filming. 'Thanks to our strong connection, we were able to beautifully capture the good relationships and chemistry of the five during scenes together. We kept the script in hand throughout our work on 'Seocho-dong' and talked a lot to create good scenes,' she shared, revealing the secret to their teamwork.
Lim Sung-jae added, 'Normally, when waiting, we each prepare for the next scene in our own spaces, but it was the first time anyone gathered to discuss or talk even when it wasn't their scene, like this in 'Seocho-dong.' He shared behind-the-scenes insights, saying, 'No matter how close we are, suggesting different acting styles can be a sensitive issue, but perhaps because we have deep trust, we were often actively proposing ideas and discussing them.'
The actors, united through 'Seocho-dong', are solidifying their chemistry through numerous discussions about their scenes and characters, similar to the five associate attorneys sharing their concerns in the drama. Thus, the expected broadcast of 'Seocho-dong,' formed by the actors' efforts, troubles, and discussions, is highly anticipated.
The new tvN weekend drama 'Seocho-dong', showcasing the fantastic acting ensemble of Lee Jong-suk, Moon Ga-young, Kang Yu-seok, Ryu Hye-young, and Lim Sung-jae, will premiere on the 5th (Sat) at 9:20 p.m.
