Chef Jeong Ji-sun showcased her unique friendship with Park Se-ri on 'What to Leave Behind.'
On the broadcast of tvN STORY 'What to Leave Behind,' which aired on the 2nd, Lee Young-ja and Park Se-ri took Yang Se-hyung, Lee Dong-guk, and Jeong Ji-sun on a gourmet tour filled with spicy flavors to the West Sea Dodo-dodo (Wolmido, Oido, Yeongjongdo).
Jeong Ji-sun, who arrived first at Yeongjongdo that day, said, "I just arrived from Hong Kong. I came straight here from Incheon Airport."
Soon after, the members arrived, and especially after greeting Park Se-ri warmly, Jeong Ji-sun revealed, "If my older sister calls, I come. Every place my older sister has taken me has been delicious. No matter how tired I am, if my older sister calls, I go."
Thus, Jeong Ji-sun came running at Park Se-ri's DM. Park Se-ri asked, "Did you go for a few days? Isn't your bag small?" and Jeong Ji-sun disclosed, "I went to Hong Kong for a meeting for 1 night and 2 days," surprising everyone. In response, Park Se-ri added, "It's not just nationwide. She travels all over the world."
In the meantime, Yang Se-hyung asked Park Se-ri and Jeong Ji-sun, "How did you become close?" Park Se-ri began, "I first got to know her through Hibap, who is associated with me, and she really wanted to see me," and Jeong Ji-sun said, "I said that I really wanted to see her."
Park Se-ri continued, "We kept saying 'we should meet,' but because of the holidays this year, I suggested not having a (birthday party), but some acquaintances kept asking to eat together. I made a reservation at Chef Jeong Ji-sun's restaurant in Hongdae. But it took more than an hour. I got upset after not arriving in over 20 minutes."
She went on, "As soon as I arrived and had the food, it was over. The moment I ate, I thought, 'I'm glad I came here,' so I forgave her. From that point on, we became close. We bonded over drinks that evening after eating everything."
Then Lee Young-ja wondered, "Why did you want to meet Park Se-ri so much?" Jeong Ji-sun replied, "She is so impressive," and shared, "While doing Chinese cuisine, I wanted someone to look up to as a role model, and there were very few female chefs, so I didn't have a role model."
At that time, Jeong Ji-sun said that she came to regard Park Se-ri, who was at the top of another profession, as a role model. She explained, "I was curious about what kind of life someone who topped their profession lived, and I thought she was impressive while watching her. Even though I don't play golf, I thought a lot about how amazing she is and wanted to meet her."
