Kim Gun-mo was embroiled in a sexual assault scandal in 2019. An employee of an entertainment venue, referred to as A, claimed that Kim Gun-mo sexually assaulted her in 2016. A filed a lawsuit against Kim Gun-mo, which escalated from mere allegations to legal disputes. Following the controversy, he stepped down from his appearance on 'My Little Old Boy' and halted his activities.
Two years after the lawsuit, the prosecution issued a dismissal against Kim Gun-mo. A appealed, but it was dismissed again in June 2022 after another year. A subsequently filed for a further appeal, but this was also dismissed, ultimately resulting in the final dismissal of the sexual assault charges against Kim Gun-mo.
