Influencer Park Jiyeon, who is the wife of comedian Lee Sugeun, is preparing for kidney transplant surgery.
According to OSEN's coverage on the 2nd, Park Jiyeon is scheduled to receive a kidney transplant from her biological brother this month. Currently, she is undergoing precise examinations and preparatory processes for the surgery, and it has been reported that her family is providing unwavering dedication and support.
Park Jiyeon married Lee Sugeun in 2008 and they have two sons. In 2011, during her second pregnancy, her kidney function worsened due to pregnancy-induced hypertension, and she received a kidney transplant from her father. However, the transplant did not take well, and in 2021, she was advised by medical staff to consider a retransplant. Ultimately, she decided to proceed with surgery this year.

She noted, "I initially said 'I'm not doing it' strongly because I suffered a lot during the first transplant, but I started thinking a lot after hearing that advancements in technology and improvements in medications could change my quality of life," and revealed that she applied for brain-dead donor waiting list.
