(Following interview ①) Park Jin-Young shared his perfect chemistry with Park Bo-Young.
Recently, an ending interview with Park Jin-Young for the drama "Our Unwritten Seoul" was held at the BH Entertainment headquarters.
"Our Unwritten Seoul" is a romantic coming-of-age drama about twin sisters who switch lives through lies, except for their faces, in search of true love and life. It has steadily climbed in ratings since its first broadcast, setting new records for its highest ratings, and achieved the top spot among all channels, including terrestrial broadcasting, on the 29th.
Park Jin-Young played the role of 'Lee Ho-Soo,' a lawyer at a large law firm, and showcased his chemistry with Park Bo-Young, who effectively played two roles as both 'Mi-Ji' and 'Mi-Rae,' practically taking on four roles.
In this context, Park Jin-Young noted, "I didn't discuss much about the chemistry with Park Bo-Young, but I felt very comfortable and well-matched from the first time we matched our lines. I thought that, but I should listen more to Bo-Young's thoughts, right?" He humorously added, "There's no need to say more; we matched so well from the start that I was able to act without hesitation."
He also revealed regarding Park Bo-Young's performance, who plays four roles, "I tried to stay as quiet as possible (beside her) because the volume of her lines, as you see each episode, is really 80% Mi-Ji and Mi-Rae. Just seeing that without looking at the script made me feel how difficult it is. But she memorized all of it. Watching that was amazing. Occasionally, when I couldn't keep my gaze right and made mistakes, I wanted to kneel down in apology."
He went on to recall, "Since there are Mi-Rae and Mi-Ji, during actual filming, there was no Mi-Rae, but there was Mi-Ji. Then I had to look at empty space. Since Bo-Young matched her gaze perfectly like a machine after doing it so many times, I truly felt sorry every time I messed up."
Additionally, when asked, 'When did Ho-Soo distinguish between Mi-Ji and Mi-Rae?' he said, "I actually thought a lot about that. Ho-Soo faces four characters—Mi-Ji posing as Mi-Rae, Mi-Rae pretending to be Mi-Ji, and so forth. I wondered how to respond differently to each, but I think I didn't need to worry about that because the senior in front handled it so well. I just needed to react to that." He praised Park Bo-Young.
