Actress Kang So-ra expressed her feelings about her grants in 'I'm Sunny Thank You.'
The new MBC entertainment program 'I'm Sunny Thank You,' which will premiere on the 5th, depicts a friendship story in which the cast of the movie 'Sunny' rediscover each other's value through travel. The stars of 'Sunny,' which attracted 7.45 million viewers and established itself as a representative youth film of the era, will gather in 14 years under the name 'Sunnies.' The Sunnies, who provided laughter and emotion with their distinct characters in the film, are expected to present a true friendship story that goes beyond the screen through this trip. There is anticipation for their special journey, which oscillates between cheerfulness and touching moments.
Kang So-ra, who traveled with the Sunnies, will also participate as a studio MC to vividly convey the reunion trip with her friends. When asked about her thoughts on joining the program, Kang So-ra said, "It's been 14 years since the movie was released; is this really happening? I couldn't believe it. I had hoped that someday a program or spin-off themed around 'Sunny' would come out, so I'm delighted and grateful that it became a reality," expressing her surprise and excitement.
Above all, what moved her heart was reuniting with the Sunnies. Kang So-ra stated, "I thought it was worth granting just to reunite with the members. I decided to participate because I wanted to see them after a long time." She added that even though not everyone could join, she felt that this trip should be a reason to gather more often, expressing a mixture of regret and joy.
Reports suggest that the chemistry among the Sunnies remains strong, despite the 14 years. Kang So-ra said, "Even after all this time, everyone was just as they were back then. I was happy to see our loud and talkative selves again." She added, "There was no awkwardness even after a long time apart. I felt like I temporarily returned to my childhood, the glorious 20s, and a time full of dreams."
Lastly, Kang So-ra expressed, "I hope viewers rediscover the value of friendship that they might have forgotten through 'I'm Sunny Thank You.' I wish for everyone to join us on our journey with the Sunnies this summer."
