Actor Ryu Jin revealed his mother's homemade side dishes.
On the 30th, a video titled "60 years of household queen Ryu Jin's mother's super simple side dish 3 kinds" was uploaded to the 'Most Amazing Ryu Jin' channel.
That day, Ryu Jin visited his parents' house in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. Holding a shopping basket in one hand, he said, "This is my parents' house. Do you know what this is? It's a container for side dishes. My mother and mother-in-law always pack side dishes for me. I brought side dishes and should normally return with the empty containers, but I bring the empty containers and feel it would be inappropriate to come empty-handed, so I make sure to bring something like watermelon or fruits to return. I've been doing this for 20 years."
The production team then asked, "Did you come just to receive side dishes?" and Ryu Jin replied, "My wife is also busy, so I thought it would be good to help, so I want to learn it and say, 'This is grandma's side dish' and try to make it for the kids. I really want to learn well. Isn't that nice of me?"
The production team then shot back, "Aren't you an unfilial child?" with the caption appearing, "A 50s unfilial child who came to get side dishes from mom," which made everyone laugh. Upon hearing this, Ryu Jin reacted, saying, "What are you talking about?"
Afterward, Ryu Jin helped his mother make side dishes. He made cubed radish kimchi first and continued the conversation while slicing the radish, prompting the production team to joke, "It seems like your mother is doing everything alone?"
Additionally, Ryu Jin mixed the seasoning made by his mother and said, "Cubed radish kimchi is not difficult," and the production team replied, "Your mother ground all the shrimp sauce and everything for you," stating, "Didn't she do all the hard work?"
In response, Ryu Jin said, "But if I make this at home, then my mother wouldn't have anything to make for me when I come home, and that would be unfilial," but his mother declared, "I can't do this anymore. I've graduated from it now," which caused everyone to burst into laughter.
Meanwhile, Ryu Jin got married in 2006 and has two sons.
