The upcoming couple Park Ha-na and Kim Tae-sul, whose daily life was first revealed in SBS's "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny" (hereinafter referred to as "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2"), recorded the highest viewership rating among entertainment programs in the same time slot.
According to viewership survey company Nielsen Korea, the viewership rating for "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2" in the metropolitan area, which aired on the 30th, was 3.6%, up from last week, securing the top spot in entertainment programs at the same time, and the peak rating rose to 4.8%.
In this broadcast, 22-year veteran actress Park Ha-na, known as the "viewership fairy," and Kim Tae-sul, a star player representing the basketball world, attracted attention by unveiling their daily life as an upcoming couple for the first time. Park Ha-na expressed her affection, saying, "It feels like destiny," and added, "I met a partner who fits my heart perfectly, and I'm starting to think that I've lived diligently." The two call each other "partner" and "mate." Kim Tae-sul described Park Ha-na as "My mate is a very warm person, has a lot of affection, takes good care of those around her, and is beautiful," which made Park Ha-na smile. Park Ha-na also expressed, "My partner is very thoughtful, wise, and cool. He is handsome," as she looked at him with loving eyes. The sweet atmosphere prompted MC Kim Sook to remark, "I don't think there will be any dreams for now."
The two, who set up their newlywed home in the two-story house where Park Ha-na lived, were living with three pet parrots. On this day, while "cooking magician" Park Ha-na quickly prepared a feast, Kim Tae-sul impressed everyone by neatly organizing the laundry with precision. Park Ha-na praised Kim Tae-sul, saying, "This man is just too lovable. I used to have a preconceived notion that athletes were stiff and masculine, but he manages the household well," adding that she boasted among her friends, "Meet an athlete. He really knows how to take care of the household." In response, basketball senior Seo Jang-hoon certified Kim Tae-sul as a "top-notch groom material," stating, "Kim Tae-sul is particularly good. Not all of them are like that."
On that day, Park Ha-na showcased her prowess as a cooking genius by quickly preparing a 12-course meal. Regarding this, Park Ha-na mentioned, "I can't stand anything lacking. Even when living alone, I feel that preparing a hearty, healthy meal is a reward for myself," as she spoke about her childhood and the family's challenging circumstances. Park Ha-na revealed her thoughts, saying, "Unknowingly, I think I may have been left with a sense of deficiency. Even when I'm alone, I feel that I have to make a grand meal to feel like, 'I succeeded.'" Additionally, raised by her grandmother instead of her busy parents, Park Ha-na added, "There's also a deficiency regarding family, so I had a fantasy about having a harmonious family. I think I've long dreamt of having my own enclosure." Furthermore, she noted, "Thanks to my partner, I find myself smiling and laughing once a day. This is really happiness," evoking a sense of support and congratulations from others.
Meanwhile, Kim Tae-sul, who was dismissed as the youngest professional basketball coach leading the team just five months into his tenure, confessed his true feelings about it for the first time. First, Kim Tae-sul talked about the slump he faced soon after moving to a new team in 2014 while being treated well. He mentioned that he endured painful days due to the cold reactions he received back then, saying, "But strangely, as the wounds healed, calluses formed that protected me like armor." He stated, "If there's a sentence that supports me, it's 'It will all work out in the end.'" He added, "When the dismissal decision was made, my mood wasn't great, but I knew this would also pass and that I would be someone who could succeed in another place, so it didn't hit me hard." Park Ha-na remarked, "This aspect makes me respect my partner even more. If it were me, I don't think I could have gotten back up," while Kim Tae-sul expressed, "Going through tough times together has made me feel once again that Ha-na is a good person, and it seems to have become a turning point for us to solidify our bond even more."
On that day, Kim Tae-sul prepared a proposal event. Although sincere, his somewhat clumsy proposal led Park Ha-na to ask, "I was thinking of a touching proposal... you'll do it again, right?" Meanwhile, Kim Tae-sul, who was continually calculating efficiency regarding preparations and wedding gifts while having 'different dreams' with Park Ha-na, retorted, "But doing it twice isn't efficient either," eliciting laughter. Meanwhile, next week's broadcast will feature star voice actor couple Jeong Hyung-seok and Park Ji-yoon, who are recognizable by just their voices.
