Yuna of ITZY transforms into an acting idol through 'Miss Undercover Boss.'
According to OSEN reports on the 1st, Yuna of ITZY is making her acting debut with the new tvN drama 'Miss Undercover Boss' (working title), which is scheduled to air in the first half of next year.
Yuna recently released ITZY's mini album 'Girls Will Be Girls' while engaged in group activities, and she will seriously take her first steps as an 'acting idol' through 'Miss Undercover Boss.'
Yuna will appear in the role of Hong Jang-mi, the biological sister of Hong Geum-bo, played by Park Shin-hye. Yuna is expected to showcase her unique bubbly charm and deliver a vibrant performance in the drama. It is anticipated how Yuna, who is challenging acting for the first time in the group, will present herself in this piece.
'Miss Undercover Boss' is a retro office comedy drama that depicts the chaotic scenes when Hong Geum-bo, a 35-year-old elite securities supervisory officer who knows only work amid the IMF turmoil in the late 1990s, disguises herself as a 20-year-old high school graduate employee at a securities firm where suspicious fund flows have been detected, using her naturally youthful appearance.
The direction is led by director Park Sun-ho, known for 'In-House Match' and 'Brewing Love,' while writer Moon Hyun-kyung, who wrote 'The Last Job,' pens the script. Celltrion Entertainment and Studio Dragon produce the drama.
Meanwhile, Yuna debuted with the group ITZY in 2019 and has released various hits such as 'Dalla Dalla,' 'ICY,' 'WANNABE,' 'Not Shy,' 'M.A.F.I.A. In the Morning,' 'LOCO,' 'SNEAKERS,' 'CHESHIRE,' 'CAKE,' and 'GOLD.'
Recently, she has been actively showcasing her activities by releasing a new mini-album and its title track 'Girls Will Be Girls.'
