Comedian Lee Kyung-kyu, who is under police investigation for drug driving allegations, will meet viewers through season 2 of "A Wonderful Habit."
According to OSEN's report on the 1st, Lee Kyung-kyu will appear in the SBS health program "A Wonderful Habit" season 2, which will premiere on the 19th. SBS also stated, "Lee Kyung-kyu's Wonderful Habit returns for season 2 on the 19th."
"A Wonderful Habit" is a program that observes ordinary people's bad lifestyle habits for 24 hours and transforms them into healthy habits. It concluded in April.
"A Wonderful Habit," returning for season 2 after about three months, will feature comedian Lee Kyung-kyu, announcer Lee Yoon-ah, and comedian Lee Yoon-seok, who previously worked together, presenting a different chemistry. In particular, expectations are high for the unique relationship they will showcase, as Lee Kyung-kyu and Lee Yoon-seok have a long-standing connection.
With this, season 2 of "A Wonderful Habit" becomes the first program launched after Lee Kyung-kyu's drug driving allegations. Previously, on the 8th of last month, Lee Kyung-kyu was accused of driving under the influence of drugs near a building in Gangnam, Seoul.
In response, Lee Kyung-kyu claimed that he tested positive due to the anxiety disorder medication he had been taking for over 10 years. However, Article 45 of the Road Traffic Act strictly prohibits driving in a state where normal driving is difficult due to the influence of drugs. Even if it is a prescription medication, if it affects cognitive ability or concentration and the driver is unaware while driving, it falls under drug driving.
As a result, Lee Kyung-kyu was questioned by the police on the 24th of the same month. After the investigation, he said, "I did not properly recognize that I should not drive while taking anxiety disorder medication. I realized once again that if there are components in my medication that could affect driving, I should refrain from driving. I too will be careful in the future," adding, "I sincerely apologize to all my fans who have believed in and supported me for a long time for causing disappointment."
In this regard, the police stated, "We have secured related videos, witness testimonies, and forensic results regarding the investigation of Mr. Lee Kyung-kyu. We plan to reach a final conclusion based on all this data."
Meanwhile, SBS's "A Wonderful Habit" season 2 will premiere on the 19th, Saturday.
