Group (G)I-DLE's So-yeon showcased her refreshing charm through 'My Name is Clear.'
(G)I-DLE (Mi-yeon, Minnie, So-yeon, Yu-gi, Shu-hua) released a special clip of So-yeon's 'My Name is Clear' on their official YouTube channel on June 30.
In this video, So-yeon transformed into a contrasting atmosphere to the intense image of the group's previously performed title track, 'Good Thing,' from their mini album No. 8. She presented a vibrant live performance with a backdrop of the blue Han River, combining a summer school uniform with a cute hairpin, resembling a character from a shoujo manga.
Notably, Park Do-ha, a new actor from the same agency, CUBE Entertainment, made a special appearance alongside So-yeon. The two drew attention with their youthful chemistry while riding bicycles together.
'My Name is Clear' is the title track of the girl band QWER's mini album No. 2, released in September last year, with So-yeon taking charge of the lyrics, composition, and arrangement. The song contains lyrical band sounds and an uplifting message, proving So-yeon's producing skills as it consistently won love on music charts immediately after its release.
So-yeon passionately performed 'My Name is Clear' with her unique emotion on KBS2's 'The Seasons - Park Bo-gum's Cantabile' in May. Following the support from fans, the song was digitally released on June 27, receiving positive reviews.
(G)I-DLE, to which So-yeon belongs, has set a remarkable record of four consecutive million-seller albums with their mini album 'We Are,' and has received three grand prizes this year alone, showcasing their strength as a top K-POP girl group. The group is set to meet global fans at KCON LA in August.
