(Following Interview ①) Park Jin-Young shared his great chemistry with Park Bo-Young.
Recently, an interview with Park Jin-Young regarding the conclusion of the drama "Our Unwritten Seoul" took place at the BH Entertainment headquarters.
"Our Unwritten Seoul" is a romantic coming-of-age drama in which twin sisters, who are different in every way except for their faces, swap lives to find true love and life. It has consistently gained popularity after its first broadcast, setting its own highest viewership ratings and achieving the top spot across all channels, including terrestrial television, on the 29th.
Park Jin-Young played the role of 'Lee Ho-Soo,' a lawyer at a large law firm, and showcased chemistry with Park Bo-Young, who essentially played four characters—'Mi-Ji' and 'Mi-Rae'—using her ability to portray dual roles.
In relation to this, Park Jin-Young noted, "I didn't really talk about our chemistry, but from the very first time we matched our lines, I felt very comfortable and thought we matched well. I thought so, but I should probably hear a bit more from Bo-Young-sunbae, right?" He joked, adding, "No need to say more; it was so well-matched from the start that I was able to act without hesitation."
He also shared his thoughts on Park Bo-Young's remarkable performance while doing four roles, saying, "I tried to be as quiet as possible (next to her), because the amount of dialogue was really around 80% for Mi-Ji and Mi-Rae in every episode. I could feel how difficult it was just by looking at the script without watching her on set. But she memorized all of it. Watching her was amazing. Sometimes, when I couldn't keep my eyes on her and made mistakes, I wanted to kneel down in apology."
He continued, "There's Mi-Rae and Mi-Ji, but during the actual filming, there's no Mi-Rae, only Mi-Ji. That means I have to look into thin air. Since Bo-Young-sunbae has done it so many times, she smoothly matches her gaze like a machine. I felt really sorry each time I messed up."
Furthermore, when Park Jin-Young was asked, 'When does Ho-Soo distinguish between Mi-Ji and Mi-Rae?' he said, "Honestly, I thought a lot about that. Ho-Soo faces four characters, pretending to be Mi-Ji, pretending to be Mi-Rae, Mi-Rae, and Mi-Ji. I thought, how should I react differently? But I realized that I didn't need to worry about that because my sunbae supported me so well. I just had to react to that."
