'The Nine' boys have begun their first story written from the heart.
'The Nine' released the complete audio of their first mini-album 'WHO WE ARE' and the music video for the title track 'Rendezvous' at 6 p.m. on the 1st across various streaming sites.
'The Nine,' consisting of nine members including Steven, Seo Jeong-woo, Cha Woong-ki, Zhang Shuai-bo, Park Han, Jay L, Park Joo-won, Jeong, and Daisuke, is a boy group formed through SBS 'Universe League.'
They have been a hot topic throughout the broadcast, garnering support from fans in approximately 200 countries and building a strong fandom even before their debut.
'The Nine's' debut album 'WHO WE ARE' contains stories of the members that began with 'sincerity,' weaving a narrative where nine different members become one (AHOF). The album flows through six tracks, showcasing their respective anxieties and wanderings along with emotions that were not consolidated, breaking away from the typical 'boyhood' mold and expressing the familiar tremor and longing felt by everyone living in this era.
The title track 'Rendezvous' is a band track projecting complex emotions over dreamlike sounds created by guitars and drums, depicting the moments where a boy's imperfections and hopes intersect. It conveys the desire to turn back time, along with the unspoken feelings and the things that cannot be let go.
"Don't leave / Just hold me once / Look at me frozen and broken in that spot / Let's turn back to that time, you and me / Oh baby I just say it's to be late oh oh oh"
The music video released alongside captures the wanderings and emotional void felt by those living in modern times, starting with a toned-down, achromatic mood and showcasing the blue youth, introducing new stories.
'WHO WE ARE' is an autobiographical narrative where the members' sincerity flows transparently, marking the first step of their growth. The expectations of fans embarking on this journey with 'The Nine' are rising as to what stories they will tell going forward.
