MAMAMOO member Solar presents her solo version of the Chinese single, showcasing another charm.
Solar posted the cover image of "Floating Free (Solar Ver.)" on her official SNS at 1 p.m. today (1st), announcing the single's release at midnight on the 4th. Her wistful expression on a rainy street amplified the emotional atmosphere.
"Floating Free (Solar Ver.)" is a track performed solo by Solar from the Chinese single she originally presented as a duet with Taiwanese singer-songwriter 9m88, representing the indie music scene last month on the 11th. With a retro synthesizer that spreads like waves, Solar's distinctive clear and warm voice adds a sensation that feels like the boundary between dreams and reality. It has been praised for delivering genuine emotions that transcend borders and cultures through the language of 'music.'
Prior to this, Solar garnered explosive interest as her Chinese single "Floating Free" topped the Taiwan iTunes 'Top Songs' chart, reached first place on Taiwan's largest music platform KKBOX's top trending songs chart, and ranked second in trending music videos on Taiwan YouTube.
Additionally, following a press conference attended by numerous major media outlets, Solar successfully held a local solo fan concert, solidifying her position as a 'global artist.' Notably, from start to finish of the fan concert, Solar communicated directly in Chinese without an interpreter, delivering a heartfelt message to local fans. Amid the warm support from fans around the world, attention is drawn to Solar's "Floating Free (Solar Ver.)" as a successful foothold for her first overseas expansion.
Solar's single "Floating Free (Solar Ver.)" will also be released as a physical album on the 4th, with sales taking place in various online and offline record stores on the same day.
