Comedian Lee Yong-sik's daughter Lee Soo-min and singer Won-hyuk were overwhelmed by the reality of parenting.
On the 30th, a video titled "From the start, Won Yi-el is disciplined by mom and dad" was uploaded on the 'Appo TV' channel.
On that day, Won-hyuk explained, "Today is our Yi-el's first day at home. So far, she has been sleeping for about 2 to 3 hours, waking up to eat, and having a stable time." Lee Soo-min, with a face full of fatigue, complained, "I'm so tired..." Won-hyuk also shared, "While unpacking today, I almost became the baggage," and "Soo-min almost became food while feeding the baby. I think if I lie down now, I will fall asleep."
Won-hyuk said, "The current time is 10:30. I will try to sleep now. Since it's the first day, I will turn on the camera every time I wake up to see how many times I wake up and what situations arise." Lee Soo-min replied, "I'm scared." Later, the two woke up around 1:30 a.m. Won-hyuk said, "Yi-el cried a lot, so I changed her diaper, and mom is breastfeeding. The first time I put the baby down next to me, I noticed that she would fuss and groan every 10 to 15 minutes, waking up each time. Then she falls asleep again. And since I might not have put the diaper on tight enough, if she urinates, it gets the blanket underneath all wet, so I need to tighten it boldly, but I'm afraid it might be uncomfortable. I admire everyone for how they raise babies."
Yi-el kept waking up, and Won-hyuk, who had not slept well, lamented, "It's the first day, and I can't sleep at all. She keeps fussing and whining, not still for a moment. Please go to sleep." He asked, "You couldn't sleep a wink, right?" Lee Soo-min nodded. Won-hyuk said, "THIS IS parenting reality," to which Lee Soo-min replied, "It's true when they say it's tough. Everything was real," and she lay down. Won-hyuk also sighed, "I didn't think I'd be able to go without sleep until 4:30 a.m."
On the second day, Won-hyuk said, "It's currently 9:27, and I am going to try to give her a bath and put her down to sleep. Then she sleeps well. Tonight, I will come up with a plan to ensure she gets some sleep. Right now, she is sleeping really well after eating. She seems to be taking after me gradually; what should I do?" He prepared thoroughly. Later, around 1:38 a.m., Won-hyuk turned on the camera, saying, "At this time yesterday, I had woken up three times. Today, after bathing her at 10 and feeding her milk at 11, she woke up now, so at least I got 2.5 hours of sleep. That wasn't the case yesterday. My mom is breastfeeding over there with her baby." He mentioned that things seemed to be much better than yesterday, though he wasn't sure if it was due to adaptation.
Lee Soo-min also said, "It seems like she wakes up less than yesterday," and Won-hyuk responded, "Much less. Yesterday felt like I hadn't slept for more than 30 minutes, but today at least she is sleeping for 2 hours. Now it's 4 o'clock, so I hope she sleeps until morning."
By the third day, Won-hyuk showed signs of easing up, saying while burping Yi-el, who had drunk formula in the early morning, "Doesn't it look like we are a bit more relaxed now?" Lee Soo-min commented, "The baby's position is stable," and Won-hyuk remarked, "It's already the third night. Looking at our Yi-el, she seems to cry less and has a clear pattern. She only cries when she's hungry. She occasionally cries when she's sleepy, but generally, after feeding and burping, she sleeps really well. The first day was so hard, but the second night's sleep was relatively good. I can manage this." He found his confidence.
Lee Soo-min said, "I thought every day would feel like the first day. I guess it was because Yi-el and our house were unfamiliar, and there were vaccinations as well," but she added, "But let's not be complacent." In response, Won-hyuk noted, "The amount of formula is increasing, and she is eating well and seems to be adapting well, for which we are very grateful."
Meanwhile, Lee Soo-min and Won-hyuk got married last April and welcomed their first daughter Yi-el in May this year.
