Trot king Kim Kyung-min releases his first mini-album after five years since his debut.
Kim Kyung-min released the mini-album RE:BORN ep.1 on the 27th of last month.
The mini-album RE:BORN ep.1 consists of various genres including trot, ballad, rock, and dance, showcasing new charms that have not been seen before. It is rumored that all the tracks are rated as title-level songs, leading to the decision of a double title system.
This mini-album RE:BORN ep.1 includes a total of 14 tracks, including the double title songs 'The Secret Inspector Arrives' and 'Daejeon Station Alley,' as well as 'Man's Path,' 'Living with a Smile,' 'Grateful Person,' 'My Woman,' and 'My Last Love,' including instrumental versions.
The first title song 'The Secret Inspector Arrives' is a remake that recorded first place in the duet competition of MBN's King of Singers 2.
Trot king Kim Kyung-min recorded a cumulative view count of 2.2 million on YouTube for his duet stage of 'The Secret Inspector Arrives' with Park Seo-jin, the god of janggu.
The second title song 'Daejeon Station Alley' is an original song set against his hometown that showcases Kim Kyung-min's distinctive emotive voice in an energetic track.
This mini-album RE:BORN ep.1 holds special significance for Kim Kyung-min, as he established the production team 'The Bull and Songajae' using his nickname and participated directly in six of the seven tracks on the album, signaling his transformation into a singer-songwriter.
Kim Kyung-min has donated all of the auction proceeds of 2,495,000 won from a charity auction conducted with Charity Auction to the Daewon Cultural Welfare Foundation (Honorary Chairman, Actor Jung Bo-seok) to be used for operating welfare programs at the Samsun Silver Welfare Center to enhance the quality of life and social participation for the elderly.
Since finishing 8th in 'Mr. Trot 1' in 2020, which brought him public recognition, Kim Kyung-min has also been noted for his delicate emotional expression and immersive performances in the recently concluded 'King of Singers 2.'
