BTS shared the news of their comeback during a live broadcast held on the global superfan platform Weverse at around 9:20 p.m. on the 1st. They said, "A group album is set to be released next spring. We will start preparing together from July. As it will be a group album, I think all the members' thoughts will be included. We will work with a completely fresh mindset." They also added, "We plan to go on a world tour alongside the new album, so please look forward to it as we will be visiting various places around the world."
They further announced detailed plans to sequentially move to the U.S. in July to begin music production and preparation for concerts. They plan to dazzle the world with a large-scale world tour accompanying their new release in 2026. This will be BTS's first world tour in about four years since the 'BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE' tour, which ended in 2022.
