The group Itzy member Yuna is making her first transformation into an acting idol through "Miss Undercover Boss" (working title).
According to a report by OSEN on the 1st, Itzy's Yuna will appear in the new tvN drama "Miss Undercover Boss" (working title) scheduled to air in the first half of next year.
In the drama, Yuna will play the role of Hong Jang-mi, the younger sister of the main character Hong Geum-bo (played by Park Shin-hye). As she uniquely possesses an energetic charm, attention is drawn to the fact that this is Yuna's first acting challenge in the group.
Itzy, which Yuna is a part of, has focused solely on music activities for over six years since its debut in 2019. With Yuna taking on the challenge of acting, there is growing anticipation about how the personal activities of the other members will expand.
Additionally, "Miss Undercover Boss," starring Yuna, is a retro office comedy drama depicting the chaotic events that occur when the 35-year-old elite securities supervisor Hong Geum-bo, who knows only work amid the IMF turmoil at the turn of the century in the 1990s, disguises herself as a 20-year-old high school graduate employee at a securities firm where suspicious funds have been detected, using her innate youthful appearance.
Directed by Park Sun-ho, known for "Office Blind Date" and "Brewing Love," the script is written by Moon Hyun-kyung, who worked on "The Job Proposal." Celltrion and Studio Dragon are producing the drama. Recently, they completed a script reading and have begun shooting.
Meanwhile, since debuting with Itzy in 2019, Yuna has released several hit songs, including "Dalla Dalla," "ICY," "WANNABE," "Not Shy," "Mafia In the Morning," "LOCO," "SNEAKERS," "CHESHIRE," "CAKE," and "GOLD." Recently, she has been active with the title track of her mini album 10, "Girls Will Be Girls."
