Kang Yoo-seok from 'Seocho-dong' expressed his feelings about becoming a professional actor in a specialized field.
On the afternoon of the 1st, at The Link Hotel in Yeongdeungpo District, Seoul, a press conference for the new tvN weekend drama 'Seocho-dong' was held, where Kang Yoo-seok explained his character Jo Chang-won: "Recently, I played a doctor in another specialized field. Back then, as a first-year resident, I showed a more immature and growing side, but this time I'm portraying a lawyer character in his mid-life."
Jo Chang-won, a lawyer at the law firm Chungong, is an all-rounder who spends his chaotic daily life meeting clients of various backgrounds under a representative lawyer solely pursuing money. He becomes a semi-forced companion for a client who is imprisoned and also a strong ally for a fraud victim, and his varied life in Seocho-dong, alternating between hot and cold situations several times a day, is also gaining attention.
For Kang Yoo-seok, this follows his role as a doctor in the previous tvN drama 'Hospital Playlist', where he acted as a medical professional before taking on the role of a lawyer.
In this regard, Kang Yoo-seok noted, "This time, unlike 'Resident Playbook', I acted with a difference as someone with a sense of professional duty. It's interesting how I am taking on so many roles in specialized fields. I must have a solid image."
