Tonight (30th) at 10:45 p.m., MBC's 'Oh Eun-young Report – Marriage Hell' features the 'Sam San Jo Gak couple,' who have been torn apart into three pieces due to a husband so engrossed in his village chief duties that he neglects family affairs. They seek help from Dr. Oh Eun-young.
In this broadcast, the husband's dedication to village affairs while his wife cultivates strawberries alone is revealed. However, the husband, who prioritizes community harmony, is actually living in isolation from his family at home. Even when they encounter each other in the same house, there is no greeting exchanged, and the couple finds it difficult to be together to the extent that they eat and sleep separately. The husband says that the reason they do not spend time together is "because the wife acts unpleasantly."
In the footage, the wife bluntly tells her husband, "Don't talk to me," and "Don't touch me." She reveals that their marriage, along with her trust in her father, has been shattered due to her husband's 'past.' The husband attempts to arrange a conversation with his wife and son for family harmony. However, when the wife and son point out his issues, he becomes uncomfortable, saying, "Stop talking about the past." Eventually, the wife and son give up on talking to him. What on earth has happened to them?
In the released daily footage, the couple leads contrasting lives. The wife finishes making kimchi from the early morning and heads straight to the strawberry greenhouse despite her ailing body. Meanwhile, the husband heads to the village hall. Having held the village chief position for six years, he seems accustomed to his duties, engaging in a spirited meeting with residents. After the meeting, he sneaks back to the strawberry greenhouse but soon gets a phone call, leaving abruptly again. The wife sighs in resignation without saying a word.
Only by evening does the husband return home and suddenly asks his wife why she prepared so little food. He informs her that "four or five villagers will come over," instructing her to prepare more kimchi and then steps outside. As a result, a large drinking party unfolds at the village chief's house. After the party ends, the exhausted wife cleans up the mess left by the villagers and firmly tells her husband that he should quit being village chief once his term is over.
The final video released shows the husband struggling with deep conflicts with his second son. Once a son who was full of affection and referred to as "a daughter-like son," it has been almost three years since conversations between the father and son have ceased. Seizing the opportunity from filming the Oh Eun-young Report, the husband cautiously tells his second son to express any grievances he may have. The son expresses his anger, saying that when he first started farming and helping, his father neglected the family strawberry farm for village duties.
Despite his son's desperate appeal, the husband begins to vent his own grievances, asking, "Why can't you be kinder?" Consequently, their conversation ends without any progress. As the son turns to leave, the wife says to him, "If you have something to say to me, go ahead." However, the son responds, "Unless mom apologizes, I'm not going to forgive you," and walks out of the house. The son's cold response leads the wife to declare her intention to give up on her husband just like she has on her son, shocking Dr. Oh Eun-young.
Why does the second son, who has devoted himself to the family, express such anger? The story of the 'Sam San Jo Gak couple,' who have been torn apart into three pieces, can be seen tonight (30th) at 10:45 p.m. on 'Oh Eun-young Report – Marriage Hell.'
