Hello.
This is Big Hit Music.
We deeply appreciate the warm support from our fans for BTS at all times.
We are continuously and firmly taking legal action against malicious slander, dissemination of false information, sexual harassment, and insults that occur online, to protect the rights of our artist BTS and allow them to work in a stable environment.
Through valuable reports from our fans this quarter, we have monitored domestic communities (such as Naver, Daum, Nate, DC Inside's BTS Gallery, Male Celebrity Gallery, Instiz, Daily Best, FM Korea, Women's Era, Jjukbang, Soul Dresser, among others), music streaming sites (like Melon, Bugs Music, GENIE MUSIC, etc.), and overseas social media channels (like X, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) to collect evidence, and we have proceeded with lawsuits against authors of malicious posts identified within various communities.
Meanwhile, penalties such as fines are being confirmed sequentially regarding the lawsuits filed in the third quarter of 2024. We will respond with a sense of responsibility to ensure other lawsuits also yield good results.
Additionally, there is an ongoing police investigation into the incident of an attempted break-in at a member of BTS's home. We are actively cooperating with the police investigation to ensure that the intruder faces appropriate criminal punishment by collecting and submitting evidence based on CCTV and other materials.
Moreover, we are immediately reporting stalking cases involving BTS members to the police for them to be arrested in the act, and we are also proceeding with requests for restraining orders. We are responding strictly without any leniency towards any acts that threaten the privacy and safety of our artists.
Recently, after faithfully completing their defense duties and returning to their fans, BTS is being thoroughly protected to ensure they do not suffer from malicious rumors or insulting expressions.
Spreading unfounded rumors, defamation, sexual harassment, and invasion of privacy are clear violations of the law. We will respond to such matters without any compromise, and in this process, the reports from our fans are a great help.
If you discover any cases suspected of infringing on the rights of BTS, such as malicious posts and IP infringement, please access the 'HYBE Artist Rights Violation Reporting Site' and actively report. To ensure that your reports lead to effective legal action, we recommend capturing the screen in full on PC rather than on mobile, especially ensuring that information such as URL, poster, content of the post, and capture date is clearly visible.
We thank you for your interest and support for BTS at all times, and Big Hit Music will do its best to protect the rights of BTS moving forward.
Thank you.
