The dancing skills of actors Jo Jung-suk, Lee Jeong-eun, and Choi Yu-ri are revealed.
At the production press conference for the movie 'My Daughter is a Zombie' held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Yongsan, Seoul, on the morning of the 30th, director Phil Gam-seong, along with actors Jo Jung-suk, Lee Jeong-eun, Jo Yeo-jeong, Yoon Kyung-ho, and Choi Yu-ri, attended and shared their thoughts.
'My Daughter is a Zombie,' based on the webtoon of the same name, is a comic drama about a doting dad who begins secret training to protect his daughter, who has become the last zombie in this world. Jo Jung-suk, Lee Jeong-eun, Jo Yeo-jeong, Yoon Kyung-ho, and Choi Yu-ri will demonstrate acting that boasts a high synchronization rate with the original characters, providing audiences with rich entertainment through their perfect chemistry.
On this day, Lee Jeong-eun, who plays the role of Jo Jung-suk's mother and Choi Yu-ri's grandmother, reunited with director Phil Gam-seong in 'My Daughter is a Zombie' after also working together in 'That Day of Luck.' Lee Jeong-eun noted, "I thought the director had a great sense of comedy when we filmed 'That Day of Luck.' I was looking for a project that families could come together to see, and this one was perfect for that."
Lee Jeong-eun described her character by saying, "Because my son and daughter live in Seoul, she is a grandmother who quietly enjoys drinking and singing while maintaining her rank. There is commotion caused by her son wanting to save his granddaughter in a quiet village," and added, "Although it was inspired by the webtoon, you will also be able to see a K-pop-loving grandmother." In response, Jo Jung-suk said, "Like mother, like son, like daughter," creating anticipation for the dancing skills of three generations.
In particular, Choi Yu-ri was the first to be cast among all the actors. Director Phil remarked, "She is a teenage girl who loves K-pop dance and had to practice her dancing alongside her studies, and I was impressed by that."
Director Phil Gam-seong praised Choi Yu-ri, saying, "It was extremely difficult to work with special makeup on set. Some lenses were so difficult that they blocked my vision, yet she would approach the staff and when she came to me looking beautiful, I said, 'From today, I have decided to respect you,' and I even thought of her as an adult."
Meanwhile, the movie 'My Daughter is a Zombie' will meet audiences in theaters nationwide on July 30.
