Lawyer Jeong Jae-min, a former judge, shared his concerns.
On the 30th, during the broadcast of KBS Joy's 'Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller', Jeong Jae-min, a former judge and lawyer, confessed that he had been scammed multiple times.
On this day, former judge and lawyer Jeong Jae-min caught attention as he appeared as a story contributor. Jeong said, "I became a lawyer who mainly handles criminal cases. There are many fraud cases, and those people deceive me, and I also get deceived, which makes me wonder how much I should trust people."
Jeong Jae-min said, "If I claim that I am unfairly treated, we would also want to help actively, which would make the argument more substantial." He added, "I have no guilt regarding sex crimes and have never been to a motel, yet eventually evidence appears. There are times when I feel embarrassed during trials."
Additionally, Jeong Jae-min noted that he had been scammed multiple times regarding attorney fees and that many clients have disappeared. Jeong said, "A client hired me because of a friend, but it turned out that the friend received five times the attorney fee."
Jeong Jae-min said, "I could file a lawsuit, but often the people who committed the fraud end up in prison." Furthermore, Jeong stated, "I worked in public office for a long time, and I never thought I could be deceived." To this, Lee Sugeun commented, "Could it be that you lack discernment in people?"
Jeong Jae-min mentioned that he had heard from colleagues and junior lawyers that he trusts people too much. Jeong said, "Fraudsters have certain characteristics. They listen well and give appropriate compliments. And they also make specific proposals."
In response, Seo Jang-hoon said, "In the future, when you hear such stories, think of them as lies. Nowadays, you can transfer money via mobile phone, so why would a bank branch be mentioned?" Additionally, Seo Jang-hoon remarked, "Many who intend to help those in need end up getting deceived." To this, Lee Sugeun encouraged, "Such individuals often end up succeeding greatly."
