The global girl group KATSEYE, under HYBE and Geffen Records, released their second EP 'BEAUTIFUL CHAOS' on the 27th at 1 p.m. (Korean time).
'BEAUTIFUL CHAOS' is an album where KATSEYE has navigated the beautiful chaos they faced as artists, translating it through their unique perspective and sensibility. The time and trajectory of growth shared by the six members are reflected in the five tracks, including 'Gnarly', 'Gabriela', 'Gameboy', 'Mean Girls', and 'M.I.A.'
The title track is 'Gameboy.' Combining retro video game sounds with a moombathon rhythm, this dance-pop track allows listeners to experience both KATSEYE's mischievous spirit and bold charm. The witty lyrics, which serve as a clever warning to an elusive target, paired with a captivating beat, maintain the song's tension and inject energy into the listener.
KATSEYE's expressive power, which reinterprets retro sensibilities with modern pop sensibilities, is exceptional. This is clearly evident in the 'Gameboy' music video, where the lighting variations, intense colors, and rapid scene transitions align with the six members' sophisticated performances. Meanwhile, KATSEYE will take the stage at the large-scale music festival 'Lollapalooza Chicago' on August 3 (local time). They are scheduled to meet with global fans at Japan's leading music festival 'Summer Sonic 2025' on August 17.
