A man surnamed Park, who was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s, has been implicated in appearing on the entertainment program 'I Am Solo' season 25, and the individual was completely edited out of the broadcast.
In the episode of I Am Solo aired on the 26th, a 3-to-1 dating scene featuring Ok-soon from season 17, Kwang-soo from season 24, Young-soo and Young-cheol from season 25 was depicted. However, the conversation scenes between Ok-soon and Young-cheol were entirely omitted, and only the scenes with Kwang-soo and Young-soo were aired. Young-cheol, who had consistently shown interest in Ok-soon and was included in the main storyline, raised questions among viewers due to his sudden complete editing.
Earlier, Mr. Park, who had appeared on 'I Am Solo' and I Am Solo Family, was urgently arrested by the police on the morning of the 21st around 3:30 a.m. on charges of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s in a parking lot in Mapo, Seoul.
Subsequently, the production team of 'I Am Solo' stated, "Regarding the criminal charges against cast member Mr. Park, we became aware of the issuance of a detention warrant through morning news coverage. Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, we will take measures to prevent discomfort for viewers and will air the show accordingly. We will also edit and remove the cast member from previously aired episodes as much as possible."
In addition, the production team expressed, "Despite urging cast members to be cautious and vigilant before and after the broadcast, we feel a deep sense of responsibility and regret over the occurrence of this incident," and emphasized, "We will ensure strict management so that cast members fulfill their contractual obligations and responsibilities even after their appearance."
Furthermore, the production team has suspended the replay service for episodes 114 to 118 of I Am Solo Family on all Online Video Streaming (OTT) platforms, including Netflix, Tving, Wave, and Coupang Play.
