The group ILLIT has dominated the top tier of Japan's major album charts.
According to the Oricon on the 26th, ILLIT (Yoona, Minjoo, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha)'s mini album 'bomb' reached 2nd place in the latest 'weekly combined album ranking' (as of June 30 / tracking period June 16-22). This album also ranked 2nd in the 'weekly album ranking' compiled during the same period.
The Oricon 'weekly combined album ranking' aggregates CD sales, digital downloads, streaming counts, and more to determine rankings. ILLIT set a new personal record by surpassing the previous record of its mini album 'I'LL LIKE YOU' in this chart.
ILLIT has achieved significant results on Billboard Japan as well. 'bomb' reached 2nd place on the Billboard Japan 'Top Album Sales' (as of June 25 / tracking period June 16-22) and 3rd place on the 'Hot Album' chart. The title song 'Borrowed Cat (Do the Dance)' landed in 3rd place on the rising chart 'Hot Shot Song.'
ILLIT is breaking records with every album in both Korea and Japan. The new release recorded over 400,000 copies in initial sales (sales within the first week after release), topping the Hanteo Chart and Circle Chart's weekly album chart (3rd week of June). Notably, in Japan, it surpassed the previous week's sales on the first day of release, showing a steep upward trend.
The title song 'Borrowed Cat (Do the Dance)' is also receiving positive responses across various charts. After being released, the song entered Melon's 'Top 100' and has been sailing smoothly, maintaining the top position on Apple Music Korea's 'Today's Top 100' for six consecutive days (June 18-23). After the comeback on the 16th, ILLIT's performances on various music broadcasts have gained momentum and popularity.
Meanwhile, ILLIT captivated global fans with the stage performance of 'Borrowed Cat (Do the Dance)' infused with magical girl vibes on Mnet's 'M Countdown' the previous day (26th). They are set to appear today (27th) on KBS2's 'Music Bank,' followed by MBC's 'Show! Music Core' on the 28th and SBS's 'Inkigayo' on the 29th, continuing their momentum.
