On the broadcast on the 26th, ENA and SBS Plus's 'I Am Solo, and Love Continues' (hereinafter 'Nasol Saggye') showed the participants using a super date pass after a male selection date.
As the men can date the women they desire, Ok-soon from the 17th season, referred to as the 'Nasol Goddess,' received the most selections. Participants from the 25th season, Young-cheol, Young-soo, and Kwang-soo from the 24th season approached 17th season Ok-soon. However, during the one-on-one conversation time among participants while conducting a group date, Young-cheol from the 25th season did not appear. The conversation between the two, which had garnered attention since the preview, was absent in the main broadcast.
This is understood to be due to the controversy surrounding the sexual assault charges of a male participant from 'I Am Solo' that became known on the 24th.
According to previously reported information, the Mapo Police Station in Seoul urgently arrested a man surnamed Park in his 30s on charges of quasi-rape on the 21st. Park is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s in a parking lot in Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, at around 3:30 a.m. on the 21st. After urgently arresting Park, the police applied for an arrest warrant, which the court issued the previous night.
In particular, it became known that Mr. Park had appeared consecutively on 'I Am Solo' and 'I Am Solo, and Love Continues,' which intensified the controversy. Eventually, the production company Chonjang Entertainment issued a statement saying, "We apologize for causing concern to many viewers. Our production team learned about the issuance of the arrest warrant related to the criminal charges against participant Mr. Park of I Am Solo through news reports on the morning of the 24th."
They continued, "Recognizing the seriousness of the matter, we will take measures to ensure that viewers do not experience inconvenience during the broadcast. We will also edit and delete the participants from the aired segments as much as possible."
Meanwhile, the production team stated, "Despite urging the participants to exercise caution and vigilance before and after the broadcast, we feel responsible and deeply sorry for the occurrence of such an incident. We will enforce strict management to ensure that participants adhere to their contractual obligations and fulfill their responsibilities even after filming." They added, "We will approach program production carefully to repay the affectionate interest of our viewers."
Subsequently, all broadcasts featuring the relevant participant were deleted from all online platforms, and immediately after the production team's statement was released, it was established as a fact that the individual arrested, Mr. Park, was the participant Young-cheol from the 25th season.
