Actor Jin Tae-hyun, who recently underwent thyroid cancer surgery, expressed gratitude for the support from his family.
On the 26th, Jin Tae-hyun posted a photo on his social media along with the message, "I have a younger sister. She is not my biological sister, but she has always been with us for the past three years."
The disclosed photo included a handwritten letter containing supportive messages for Jin Tae-hyun and several banknotes of 50,000 won. The words from his younger sister conveying love and concern for Jin Tae-hyun after his thyroid cancer surgery caught attention.
Additionally, Jin Tae-hyun noted, "Some days she is a personal coach, some days a childish younger sister, and some days a wonderful runner. On the day of the surgery, she was praying around the hospital. True family seems to be about making efforts and expressing ourselves," and added, "The sister who gives me pocket money is really cute. I feel completely better now. She's practically a biological sister now."
He also revealed a message sent by his adopted daughter. The daughter said, "Superman Dad. It must have been tough for you to suddenly find out about the cancer and undergo surgery while worrying about me. Dad, you are truly the best," and expressed, "I apologize for not being more considerate and clumsy, and I am always grateful that you unconditionally believe in me and are there for me while always thinking about my worries and future."
In response, Jin Tae-hyun said, "We are already happy, so I will work out for you. An athlete has no answer other than records, performance, diligence, and effort. Let's take it step by step toward the dream of achieving 2 hours, 36 minutes, 33 seconds, and 30 seconds. That's admirable."
