Comedian Lee Bong-won reported on his wife Park Mi-sun's health recovery. His words, filled with affection and support for his wife, who has worked tirelessly for 38 years, caught the attention of many.
The MBC entertainment program 'Radio Star,' aired on the 25th, was themed 'Business is Easier than I Thought,' featuring guests Lee Bong-won, Hong Seok-cheon, Cha Jun-hwan, and Kang Ji-young. During the broadcast, Lee Bong-won mentioned recent developments while sharing his experience on the cooking program he was supposed to appear on with his wife Park Mi-sun.
Lee Bong-won said, 'It was a program where couples had to appear together, but my wife had to drop out due to health issues.' He added, 'I was also going to drop out, but as my wife's close friend Lee Eun-ji joined, it's currently going well.'
He continued, 'Park Mi-sun is receiving good treatment and is currently resting well,' adding, 'My wife has never taken a break in 38 years. This is a chance for her to recharge properly.' In response, Kim Gu-ra noted, 'You took breaks in between, but Mi-sun has really worked like an ox.'
Lee Bong-won also smiled and said, 'I'm also taking a break with my wife because of this opportunity.' Hong Seok-cheon added, 'These days, I feel like I'm working as a part-timer on the program with Lee Bong-won,' contributing to the warm atmosphere on set.
During the broadcast, a surprise stage secretly prepared by Lee Bong-won for his wife was revealed. He appeared on stage, holding a guitar and looking nervous, and sang with a heartfelt voice, filling the atmosphere with emotion. However, the cast burst into laughter at the somewhat bizarre lyrics, 'Dear, goodbye in peace.'
When Hong Seok-cheon asked, 'But why are you trying to send her off?', Jang Doyoun playfully lightened the mood by saying, 'Why did you choose such a song when she's recovering healthily?' Kim Gu-ra added, 'If you do such events, your wife might wonder, 'Why are you doing something you haven't done before?' but I think Mi-sun will be really touched.'
Earlier, on the 1st of last month, an official from Park Mi-sun's agency, Cube Entertainment, explained to OSEN that 'due to health reasons, she is taking a break.' However, it was stated that she is not seriously ill and will return healthily after taking some rest.
